Which edition should you buy?
Choose Standard if you only want the full game. Choose Digital Deluxe if Richard and Alexis and the Inmate Michael Myers skin are worth the extra cost. The four-day early access window (September 4–8) is already over.

The bonus most likely to be truly time-sensitive
The official pre-order FAQ says the Phantom Michael Myers skin is a digital pre-order exclusive and will not be sold after launch. The Deluxe upgrade, by contrast, is planned to remain purchasable at launch.
Don’t buy Deluxe for an assumed meta advantage
Richard and Alexis are extra playable civilians, but launch stats are not enough to prove either is stronger in the live meta. A real tier list needs live matches, perk interactions and actual stat definitions. See the civilian stats table for what has actually been shown.
The October 27 content drop is separate DLC
The first post-launch content update (announced October 7) lands October 27, 2026. It is not included in Digital Deluxe — it is priced separately:

The two Michael versions are licensed through IllFonic’s partnership with Trancas International Films and MIRAMAX. Christopher Nelson sculpted the masks for “Halloween 2018,” “Halloween Kills” and “Halloween Ends.” The drop is the first of a content series planned across the game’s first year; map details are on the maps hub.
