The short answer

Halloween: The Game launches September 8, 2026 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam and Epic Games Store. The Digital Deluxe Edition opens four days early on September 4 at 9:00 AM PT.

Steam still lists the game as coming soon as of September 3, 2026. Time zones can make the calendar date differ by a day depending on where you live.

What to expect on September 4

The September 4 window matters because it is the first broad public access point. Builds, perk values, map spawns, queue behavior and performance can change from pre-release footage, so this site treats them as launch-verification items, not settled facts.

Platforms

Buying only for early access?

If you only care about the four-day head start, compare that against the Deluxe price premium and its extra characters/cosmetics on the editions page. The actual gameplay content is still the same core game, and launch-build balance is not knowable before players get hands-on.
